  I've been moving every few years and had a wide range of moves - from placing my apartment contents to storage, to taking them from a 1 bedroom to a studio, and from out of state moves ranging from NJ to NY and most recently Brooklyn to Boston! I was lucky to discover GLM six years ago and have used them for all of my moves, and I likely always will! They are friendly, personable, timely, efficient, hardworking and very careful with all of your belongings! They literally go the extra mile to help you in any way to make the hassle of moving not feel tiring at all! Their prices are extremely reasonable (in fact, I highly doubt you'll find lower pricing for the quality, so make sure to tip very well). Everyone you work with ranging from arranging the move to the movers themselves are just outstanding. The cons? I don't have any.

  We recently used them for our house move. They showed up on time and worked quickly. The wrapped everything and even took a few extra boxes without hassle or extra charge.

Taking one star away because our dining table got scratched up a little during the move.

  Just want to be clear - this review has nothing to do with an actual move.  I'll be steering clear of these scammers when I choose a company.

Requested a quote for a move from Hillsborough to Flemington.  A quick 20-25 minute drive.  Don't have much furniture, maybe 7-8 boxes of belongings, and a bookshelf, bed, and dresser.

The quote came over for 3 hours of work at $128/hr plus a $45 stair charge.  I called back, asking why they quoted that but the price didn't align, to which they said they add a 1.5 hour travel time charge as well at the same rate.

Their *MINIMUM* charge is going to be 4.5 hours (1.5 travel + 3 labor), regardless of what is being moved, or $576.  Want to pay by card in a cashless world?  Extra 5%.  

So, for a 30 minute drive, plus maybe 90 minutes of actual work, I'm going to get charged 2.5 extra hours of labor that doesn't happen, AND they have the gall to then suggest a 20% tip?  

Yeah, I'll take my business elsewhere.  If you're not making a large move, or a long move, stay far away from these scammers.

  Green Line Move company did a great job with our recent 90-mile move within New Jersey. First of all, their online estimator made it very easy for all to see exactly how much we had (way more than I thought :-)). Instructions were clear and so was the pricing - no guesswork. When moving day came they were lightning-fast with both the loading and the unloading at the other end. At the same time, they were very respectful of our belongings and took the time to ensure everything was in the right place. Not a single item was broken or damaged, and all the movers were very courteous. I hope I don't have to move again for a very long time but if I did I'd use them again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.

  The movers were very professional and efficient. They quickly moved everything in a very safe manner. Customer service and booking was efficient professional and followed up quickly. I even received a follow up call to see how the service was. I was very happy with the process. Would hire again. This made my moving day much less stressful.

  I wasn't able to use this company, but I did book them for a scheduled move. Long story short, I ended up not moving as planned. However, that doesn't take away the fact that this moving company has outstanding customer service. Alex was always available to answer all my questions and concerns, especially during this pandemic. If the customer service is any indication of the quality of the actual move itself, then I will be very happy. When I do actually end up moving again, I will be booking with this company.

  I moved recently about 20 minutes away from where I was previously. I've used other moving company's in the past that had come to the house very late- took way too long to move, broke or damaged my things and even had things missing afterwards so I was stressed that inevitably this would happen again. This company exceeded all my expectations and did such an awesome job. These movers were quick and efficient. The stairwell in my new apartment was really narrow but they were able to get everything up the stairs with ease and even removed the door hinge to make more room. I believe this company is decently priced- very hard to find a company that won't overcharge in this area. I will definitely use this company again in the future!

  Since my gun safe was scheduled to be delivered 4 days earlier than expected. Their prompt responses were very helpful. The movers showed up and moved my 375lbs into my unit in a timely manner. I was very impressed with the service. Totally polite and professional.

  I have nothing but praise for Alex and his movers. My husband and I were in a difficult situation as our previously hired movers turned out to be the worst of its kind and showed up 9 hours late only to show their attitude.

I looked up Green Line Moving Corp through Google and surprising Alex the manager picked up the call even after working hours. I explained my situation and he tried his level best to help me with my move the next day. Just so you all understand, it was the first Friday of August and most of the movers including this team was already booked for the entire weekend. However, Alex and his team kept my request and helped me with my move in the evening hours. All of the movers are professional, nice and cooperating. They started our move on time( they finished two other jobs before mine on the same day) and finished it properly as long as it needed. I will hire them again when I move and definitely will recommend them to my friends and family. I am especially thankful to Alex for helping out from a sticky situation and complete my move the best way possible.

  This company is fantastic.  They were on time, they moved everything quickly and made sure to put every box and furniture item where we wanted at the new location.  We even changed our mind with the layout of the living room after they had already put the rug/couch down and they rearranged it for us! Very efficient and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Extremely competitive pricing as well.  They charge by item, not by time, which I think is a win because you never know with delays that can happen from moving out of an apartment building.  Would use again in a heartbeat!

  I've used Green Line Moving's services twice. The first time was in Nov 2014 when we moved from Wayne, NJ to Dover, NJ. A 1 bedroom apt move. We had booked with another movers a month earlier but they screwed up the dates one day prior to the move. Perhaps that was for the best as we found this wonderful movers!! It was a last minute arrangement and I must admit I had my doubts. But the move was so smooth and hassle free. They even packed a couple of boxes for free. I should've written this review a year ago.

In a year's time we had to move again. The move was on Sept 20th 2015 from Dover, NJ to Kinnelon, NJ. We shopped around and all the movers were so unreasonably expensive! It was a simple move, from 1 bedroom apt to a 2 bedroom apt. I was worried about choosing them again as I saw a couple of bad reviews about over charging. I presumed that the business was not the same.

However looking at the other movers I decided to take the risk and book them again. Alex was simply wonderful.! I was 9 months pregnant and my in laws were at my place who are senior citizens. I was looking forward to a stress free move. Alex was so very helpful.! Polite, friendly and understanding. The quote was reasonable. He informed me that the move wouldn't cross the said limit. I went into labor just a day before the move! Well no problem, the men arrived on time and completed the job within 3 hrs. My husband said they were smooth and hassle free. No stress. No unnecessary tensions.

  Greenline is the best moving company i have used and Alex (the owner) is awesome! He sent his 3 men and a truck and they were very efficient. Here are the reasons why I recommend Greenline movers.

  I rarely give reviews but when Companies go above and beyond your expectations, it leaves me no choice. This Moving company was the absolute best movers I've ever seen in my life. They were perfect from start to finish. They arrive on time and work efficiently to move your things from point A to B. I recommend Green Line Moving Company to everyone!

Choose these guys for your next move you won't regret it! They moved our 2 bedroom Apartment in less than 5hrs. Wrapping everything for protection and didn't damage a thing. Love love love Them!

  So needed a mover to move from our 2 BR apartment in Fanwood out to a home in Bridgewater, and these guys came highly recommended on one of the local facebook groups.  I filled out the form and received a quote quickly that seemed very reasonable.

Let me state this outright - my quote was low (around 600 dollars), and the final price DID wind up higher (a hair under 1000) as some other folks have stated in their reviews.  HOWEVER it was entirely my fault in this case.  While I filled out the form for all furniture, I did neglect to mention that they would also  be moving somewhere around 50-60 boxes of stuff.  It was my fault entirely, and I still found $1000 to be very reasonable considering the amount of stuff we were moving.  The owner, Alex, called to discuss as soon as his guys reported the problem, and we moved on from there.

The guys who came out were very good.  3 guys, and then they said they could include a 4th for 15 bucks more per hour (I have to assume that #4 was the driver, and being added because of the amount of stuff we had to move).  We agreed, and let me tell you: these guys busted their butts.  They worked with very few breaks in the hot weather for a solid 5 hours to load up their truck with all of our stuff, disassemble furniture etc etc and so on.

On the far side, the guys unloaded everything - initially moving things to appropriate rooms, but by the end not bothering to do so.  They absolutely BUSTED BUTT to get a treadmill into a room that it did NOT want to fit into (thanks guys).  As unloading went on, they started sliding boxes up the truck and just dumping them WHEREVER (it seemed that a couple couldn't read English...so the careful labeling of boxes wound up being more or less a waste of time).  When I mentioned that some of the boxes were fragile, they did stop the "bowling" method of unloading the truck, for which I was grateful.   Unfortunately, they neglected to reassemble a piece of furniture that had been taken apart (and was in a LOT of pieces).

It's very unfortunate that the last thing that occurred is what stuck with me, and it's the reason for the 3 star rating, despite what could have very easily been a five star effort.  At the end of the night I paid my bill (as mentioned, higher than expected, but because of my own screw up) and gave each of the guys a tip.  What I DIDN'T like was feeling cornered by two of the guys who basically said "you should give us each another 10 bucks".  Had I realized there were 4 guys instead of 3 when I got cash, and realized how long it would take I may have done so...but the assumption that you can get a bigger tip by more or less demanding it really rubbed me wrong.  When I told them it wasn't going to happen (that I didn't have the cash to do so anyway) they got in the truck and left...but not before tossing cigarette butts, empty water bottles etc around the property.  Nothing major, I wouldn't even call it vandalism - it took 30 seconds to clean up - but worth mention.  Not to be a jerk about it but, y'all also got paid (presumably) for the job, and had no issue accepting waters, lunch, dinner, and ice cream from the truck that drove on by...so ending the night with a strong arm...well...just wasn't cool.

I don't want anyone to get in trouble for this review.  I want to be clear: these guys worked INCREDIBLY hard and overall did a good job.  I found the price to be competitive, and the overall performance to be good.  It's unfortunate when the last impression of an overall good experience is so negative that it leaves a bitter taste.  I really WANTED to give them another 5 star, and wanted to be able to recommend them to everyone...and I still probably would recommend giving them a look.  I can't say that ANY mover is going to be any better...but just keep the experience that I had in mind when booking.

  Moved me from Manhattan to Cranford, NJ. Great movers. Alex sent 3 guys and a truck. He told me the maximum it would be if they run into traffic or if it took extra time. It ended up being right near the maximum, but it was a 3 story walk up in Manhattan so I guess it makes sense.

Guys were good and fast. They also packed a couple boxes for us, while we were rushing to finish our packing. Didn't charge us anything for that.

  SCAMMERS. I wouldn't even give this company 1 star. They are misleading with their price quotes. They will refuse to unload your belongings until they scam $1000 from you. They threaten to take (steal) your belongings until you pay them . Don't use them unless you want to be ripped off and lied to.

  The Green Line Moving crew was remarkable. They were extraordinarily well-organized and exceeded my expectations when confronted with an obstacle - a white 90-inch sofa that needed to be hoisted over a balcony through French doors. They relocated it without a hitch, spotless!  I highly recommend and will be calling again for my next move.

  After searching and searching for a moving company that was within our budget and that we could trust, we decided on Green Line movers and I have no reservations saying we made the right choice!

We were quoted a great price, one I thought made sense for our 1-bedroom apartment's worth of stuff (after getting quotes that seemed more a price for moving to another state!) We agreed on 3 pm on Saturday.

They called to update me that they were 10 minutes late. Then they showed up and, even in the rain, got everything out in an hour and a half. Everything was taken apart securely, wrapped, and secured in the truck. They were able to figure out how to get everything out, and everything in. They tried even with things we weren't so sure of (like getting a couch into a room with a somewhat small door).

I never felt worried using Green Line Movers, and I'm so happy we came across this group and chose them. I highly recommend them for movers who are affordable, honest, and do a good solid job.

  I recently hired these guys for a move. They gave me a 2 hour range when the movers will come and they did arrive in that timespan although towards then end of it.

There were 3 movers and they were efficient and started working immediately. Before starting work I confirmed the rate agreed upon and made sure it was clearly understood on the contract. Remember there is a 5% surcharge for using Credit Card so they prefer cash.

The guys were professional, they took care of my stuff and did the job efficiently. Me and 2 of my friends helped by taking the small stuff out of my place and take it to the edge of the stairs from where they took to the truck. At the destination, we again helped by putting the boxes on trolleys and bringing it to the doorstep from where they took it in the house.

They placed everything where we asked it to be. Including in basement, same level and 2nd floor of the house. They made no complains and were easy to work with.

The leader spoke little english while other 2 didnt but there was no need for communication.

With this help we were able to move my 2 bed apartment in slightly less time then he had estimated.

When the time came for payment, all went well as we had clear start and end time and rates. The only thing is they charge separate for Tolls. I didn't use toll route but they did charge me for it which on talking to Alex (their Manager of sorts on phone) was clarified and they took that $20 charge off.

One advise for the day of moving is, stay calm, pack in as many boxes as you can, don't have loose stuff, don't have too heavy boxes, label the boxes clearly on which room they are going so that the guys don't have to ask you for each box where it has to go.

  I had a great experience moving apartments with NJ Green Line movers. Alex was prompt via email in providing our insurance requirements. George and his team inspected the furniture for pre-existing damages before they packed it and made sure we were aware of these damages.

They packed fragile items and my flat-screen TV / couch with a padded fabric and were very systematic and efficient moving stuff from the 14th floor down to the truck, driving 30 minutes to the new location, and then up to the fourth floor, all in exactly 3 hours. They were upfront about the charges and there were no last-minute additions.

The reason I'm not awarding 5 stars is because they were about 45 minutes late and I had to call Alex to find out how late they were going to arrive. This was not a problem for me as the apartment we were moving into had a relaxed move-in policy but other apartments with busy weekend moving dates may be a problem. A 3X2-foot clear-plastic picture frame was also cracked during transport. This could be because both them and I may have underestimated the fragility of the item and not wrapped it.

Overall, I recommend George's moving team and the manager, Alex of NJ Green Line and would definitely use their services in the future.
